IELTS is a standardised test that is very important for people who want to study abroad, immigrate, or live permanently in an English-speaking country. Here are some last-minute IELTS exam recommendations. These pointers will assist you both before and during the examination:
Check the test's date and timing: It is critical to double-check the test date and time. On the day of the exam, arrive early and leave some additional time in your pocket because you may not be permitted to take the test if you are late.
Bring identification with you: Proof of identification is required. You must have identification proof with you, such as the passport or national identity card you used to register for the exam.
Get to the examination venue early: You should be aware of the exam center's location and travel time. If you arrive late for your exam, you will not be allowed inside. Arrive at the testing center at least one hour before the scheduled examination.
Keep yourself hydrated: The exam center has water available. Dark bottles are prohibited, while transparent bottles are permitted. It is critical to stay hydrated throughout long examination periods.
Eat and sleep well: The three modules: Listening, Reading and Writing take about 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete. There will be no gaps between the different components of the test. Make sure you eat and get plenty of rest before the exam so you can answer the questions without getting sick or sleepy.
Dress comfortably: Make an effort to dress comfortably and simply. Dress nicely and confidently.
Carry no phones with you: Phones and other electronic devices are not permitted in the examination room. Mobile phones will not be permitted under any circumstances. Applicants must leave their phones, laptops, and other electronic devices out. All of your personal things must be left in a locker outside the test hall.
Don't be bothered about the eraser, pencil, or pen: No paper should be brought into the exam room. In the examination center, you will also be given a pen, pencil, and eraser. Only the ID evidence and nothing else is required when taking the speaking test. In the examination hall, no pencil box or pouch is permitted.
Do not wear a wristwatch: Because personal watches are not permitted, there will be a clock inside the examination hall.
Before the test, go to the restroom: Although applicants are permitted to use the washrooms throughout the reading and writing phases of the test, it is preferable to use the washroom before the test begins to save time.
Maintain focus: Only attempt the exam after thoroughly studying the format and syllabus. Throughout the examination, remain focused and relaxed.
